Dog Walking @ Boston

Hi! I’m a college student in Boston with lots of animal care experience:) I’ve worked as an Assistent in a veterinary clinic in Dubai (I’m qualified to care for dogs with medical needs) and work summers in Kenya with KWS caring for orphaned lion cubs. I also work with PADI scuba diving to study and research marine life. Other than that I’ve worked closely with horses in Germany and elephants in Thailand! Some of the best experiences I’ve had… I miss spending time with animals now that I’m in university so I figured getting on dog sitting apps would be a great way to do that.

When your pup is with me I have a standard schedule I follow (of course I’m happy to change it depending on your dog and what he/she needs)

5:00-6:00: usually I don’t have to wake up this early unless I’m taking care of a puppy or a dog with specific medical needs. If that’s the case I’m more than happy to start my day a little earlier :)

7:00-7:30: this is usually when I wake up, my classes don’t begin until 9am so I usually take this time to go on a morning walk with the pup and spend some time playing so they can get some exercise in and wake up for the day.

7:30-8:00: time to eat :))) this is usually when the dog eats (as well as me), while the dog eats I refill the water bowl and do some general cleaning up.

8:00-9:00: usually dogs like to go out again right after eating just to play or pee if they need to. Normally I do this except on Tuesdays as I have a class at 8:00

9:00-12:00: nap time/play time/follow me around the house time. I this is usually the most unplanned part of the day, I like to take the dogs with me wherever I go (if I need to go somewhere) so this time could include unscheduled walks or little trips to places in Boston. The only exception is When I have class, as dogs are not allowed in my classes I have to leave them home alone or with my friend who is another great pet sitter, I never have classes for longer than 1-2 hours so dogs are normally okay to stay home for a bit.

12:00-13:00: a short walk to the park near by, usually just to get in some exercise and playtime.

13:00-17:00: same as before, just time to play, nap, snack, hang around :) or go out with me if I have something planned.

17:00-19:30: drinks, dinner and playtime :) changing the water and dinner! This is usually a great time because I can offer a longer and more extensive play time than in the morning, really letting the pup burn off pent up energy.

19:30-23:00: quieter time, this is always a good opportunity to brush and groom if needed, spend some time winding down before bed. I like to take the dogs out one last time before going to bed just incase they need it, even if they don’t they tend to appreciate a little walk :)

I have a lot of experience with many different kinds of animals but dogs are always my number 1. I have a 9 year old golden retriever at home in Dubai, one of the most kind hearted pups I’ve met to date. Him and I do grew up doing everything together, I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
I’ve been working with animals since a very very young age, you can feel comfortable leaving your pet with me as I have had encounters with all sorts of puppy problems, wether it be serious medical issues or just a little separation anxiety I’m confident I can help your dog in any way he/she needs. Aside from that I’m sure you won’t find another sitter who will spend as much time and love on your pet as I will (I’m alone in my apartment so any animal in my care is spoiled to the max)
Animals are my passion :) I was raised with them and there is nothing more I’d rather do than spend time with them.
