Taking care of animals give me a sense of responsibility. It makes me happy to know I'm taking care of someone pride and joy and making them (the pet & owner) happy at the same time, and the owner being worry free.
Right now I have two cats. A short haired black cat named Tabitha and a long haired orange cat named Blaze. They are my children, I seriously love them to death! However, over my 30 years of life I've had and taken care of birds(all different types) to ferrets to fish to dogs(big and small-town used to have two chocolate labs and now my parents own two great Danes) to hamsters to rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, turtles, I even had a pet duck for a super long time and it thought I was it's mother! :)
