My family and I love dogs very much and my daughter especially is animal mad. I am a teacher and my wife works from home. My daughter is very interested in animal behavior and training. As we travelled a lot in the past we weren't able to keep pets, so in the last few years we fostered and helped with street dogs (walking and feeding) when we could in Bahrain, Turkey and now Qatar.
We have adopted a 6 year old rescue dog, a male golden retriever saluki (maybe) mix called***who is learning to love being with other dogs. He has been with us for 3 years and we love him very much. We have worked with him on different aspects of training and have been working on his socialization and getting used to new friends. He is not aggressive, just very shy and quiet! We have fostered rescue dogs often before they fly to their new homes for periods of one week up to six months, and we’ve been worked with each one individually to help them adjust .
We all go for a walk together every day and can provide a family environment for any pet that stays with us. We have a garden space and lots of room inside the house for the dogs to explore freely. One of us is usually in the house all day, otherwise there will be***for company! We can provide pictures and updates and are prepared for larger dogs if necessary.
We love meeting new dogs and finding out their personalities and how they think! We have a (very large) dog board with pictures of all the dogs we have fostered and helped over the years.

Summary.
We are a family with a rescue dog with lots of experience fostering and caring for dogs and other animals. We live in a villa and have lots of room for dogs. We are home often and have space locally to take dogs for long walks.
We have one dog, a rescue golden retriever who is quite shy but very peaceful, quiet and passive (and lazy!). All dogs in our house have free roam of the house. Otherwise they can sleep upstairs or downstairs and there's lots of quiet, comfortable places if they want.
We would like to know your usual timetable for your dog based the routine and habits they know to minimize their stress. We will follow their feeding and exercise/play schedule, as well as walking times (if it’s a dog), any other needs. We usually go for a long walk together each evening nearby.
General guidelines:
- We can currently take up to 5 dogs per time unless from the same household. We have experience with large dogs and have fostered all kinds of dogs in the past!
- Your dog has to be friendly/neutral towards other dogs to ensure everyone’s happiness.
- If there’s any medication or issues with your pet we will take care of it.
We would treat your dog like our own, and he/she would feel welcomed as part of our family! That way, you can feel comfortable knowing that your dog is loved and well taken care of. And lots of pictures of course!
