John and I are easy going, honest, reliable and fun loving. We love animals and wildlife and have travelled overseas quite extensively. Finding great house sitters for all our pets was a challenge but without them we wouldn't have had the opportunity to travel as much as we have without stress. Now our kids are grown, our pets have passed and we have sold up and become mobile house and pet sitters ...and love it!!
We feel that pets make a home and by staying with pets in their own home we can give them love, care and security ... and we get to enjoy the company and connection of pets while travelling and exploring new areas. It's "perfect" for us to travel on a budget and to be able to help other pet owners.
Skills and qualifications
We had Tibetan Spaniels, as well as a number of cats, snakes, lizards and rats over the years but our last fur baby passed away recently at 16 years of age.John also has had sugar gliders, fish, and we even had Wallabies for a while!
Other skills
John is an authority on reptiles and has an extensive website on herpetology that he maintains and helps identify species and answer questions about the care of reptiles in captivity. I have been a regular pet sitter for a Brisbane friend and the joy of that has helped lead me to pet-sitting full time.
